Auto AI and Manual Build are Builder Structure modes. Artist AI can export an editable Builder preset JSON, so you can continue shaping the setup before another generation.

SunoShaper AI Builder · Suno V6 workflow

Start in the actual Builder.

The eight required choices are Genre, Subgenre, BPM, Key, Vocals, Instruments, Lead and Structure. Lead is selected within Instruments. The separate Preset control is optional and remains visible beside Structure.

Choose the sound, select a Lead instrument, then open Structure to choose Auto AI or Manual Build. The counter advances as you complete the eight requirements.

  • Preset opens the Builder's preset library. Loading one replaces your current selections and switches the structure to Manual Build.
  • In Manual Build, the Presets area also offers Load Presets, Save Preset, Import JSON and Export JSON.
  • In Auto AI, Save Preset is unavailable; you can export its structure as editable Manual Build JSON.
Explore and revise your setup without using a Builder credit. A credit is used when SunoShaper AI produces a valid generated result.

Auto AI: start with a structure, then guide it.

Make the eight required choices and select Auto AI in Structure. It starts with five sections that you can adjust. Five controls let you steer the result without editing every detail yourself.

  • Choose Genre, Subgenre, BPM, Key, Vocals, Instruments and Lead.
  • Use Style Fidelity, Creative Risk, Section Contrast, Mood Tone and Song Movement.
  • Generate and review Style Prompt, Arrangement Cues and Exclusions.

Builder · Full Control

Manual Build: decide what each section does.

Choose the section order and edit musical behavior inside each part of the song. The tutorial shows melodic direction, focus, harmony, tone, active instruments and the section solo in a Blues example.

  • Build and reorder the sequence yourself.
  • Use section choices that respond to the selected genre.
  • Load, save, import or export a reusable preset JSON from the Builder.

The preset export appears in this Manual Builder tutorial. A JSON preset stores a configuration; it is not generated audio.

Separate SunoShaper tool

Artist AI: turn a reference into direction.

Enter an artist or band as your starting reference. A song or album, era or year, and lyrics are optional but strongly recommended when available: they give Artist AI more context for a focused result.

  • Receive a neutral Style Prompt, Arrangement Cues and Exclusions.
  • Lyrics stay local; structural anchors guide the arrangement.
  • After generating with Artist AI, you can download the preset JSON and import it into the Builder if you want to edit the configuration.

Artist AI costs 1 SunoShaper credit per generation. It describes musical traits; it does not promise to reproduce an artist or a song.

Before generating in Suno

The 4.5 result screen advises setting Suno Variety to 0 to reduce rewriting of the Style Prompt, including BPM. Suno still makes the final audio decisions, so results can vary.
